It's Final!

I know many of you are going to be shocked because we have updated our blog 3 times since the new year. It has just been an exciting and busy two weeks. On Friday we closed on the purchase of CLS. Mike has been the general manager of CLS for about a year now and worked there since 2005. In October we approached the previous owner about buying the company. We have been negotiating since then and we were finally able to come to terms late last week. With such a big move comes a rush of emotions, excitment, anxiety, and fear to name a few. I'm sure life will definately be more stressful as business owners but we are ready for this new challenge in our lifes.

Kade's Birthday

Kaden had a wonderful birthday on New Year's Eve. He was spoiled with gifts, a party, and a cake of his own. Well we had a party but he went to bed about a half hour after it started. He got to dig into his cake and then we hosed him off in the shower. He was in bed by 8:30 and then the real party began. We had friends over for a night filled with food, games, and guitar hero.

Oh, how the time flies. I can't believe it has been a year since this little guy came into the world. He definately surprised us being a few weeks early. I wasn't quite ready, thinking I was going to work until my due date. I guess he had different plans, he wanted to be with his friend Petra and his cousin Jace who were born two days earlier. He has brought us much happiness and been a blessing in our lives.
Kade began opening his gifts after his morning nap and opened one every couple hours through the day. His favorite part was playing with the wrapping paper, bows, and cards.

He got his football from his Grandma and Grandpa Wilson.

Singing Happy Birthday
Kaden loved the frosting.

We'll be cleaning frosting out of the shower for weeks.

Everyone jammin' out while the kids are asleep.

Christmas in Colorado

We headed to Colorado on December 23 to spend Christmas with Mike's family. We had to travel through snow from Salt Lake to Evanston but the roads cleared up after that. While we were there we played cards, lots of Guitar Hero, went shopping, and took Kade to his first Hockey game. We also ate a ton of great food. Kaden was a really good travelor, it was when we got there he became a little terror. He wouldn't go down for a nap the entire week we were there. He had to be rocked to sleep and held for all of his naps. If not, he would just cry for hours and not get a wink of sleep.
A Wilson family tradition is decorting cookies on Christmas Eve. Kaden was a little young to decorate but loved participating in the eating part. He would of eaten the entire cookie but I cut him off about half way through. On Christmas Eve Mike sang the Hanukah song by Adam Sandler. Kaden thinks his dad is a rock star.
Kaden needed a lot of help opening his gifts. He was very spoiled by all of his grandparents.

Kaden's face lit up when he opened a soccer ball from his Aunt Jen and Uncle Brant. It is the perfect size for him.

Kaden's stocking made by his Grandma Wilson.

About half way to Colorado Mike and I realized we forgot to pack our camera. Luckily we were able to take pics with his parents camera. Thanks for emailing the pictures Kevin and Pam.
